Name server issue with my domain?
-
This morning in ‘My Domains’ wordpress asked me to make wheredidshegonow.com my primary domain. Upon updating, everything looks successful however http://www.wheredidshegonow.com now takes me to a parked page? I just upgraded with wordpress a little over a month and a half ago, so I am not sure what the confusion is. Help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t have changed “the nameservers”.

Go to https://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/ put http://wheredidshegonow.com/ and follow the instructions.

It would be great if we could get a pair of WordPress Support eyes to take a quick look.
From what I understand of the problem, wheredidshegonow purchased the domain via WordPress.com, not on her own, and therefore has no access to the registrar’s domain tools to edit the DNS. Is it possible for an admin to check whether that domain purchase occurred?

@pvilchez: the Domain helper is an official tool of WordPress.com to check domains.

I’d just like to go a bit higher and make sure the domain purchase step occurred with WordPress.
No.
You can go https://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/ and see for yourself. ;)I am a volunteer (and moderator on spanish forums) on the forums for seven years. I know what I’m saying. ;)

I am unable to change my domain servers to NS1.wordpress.com
Why?
Step 3: Next, you will need to update your domain’s “name servers” to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMYou can usually change your domain’s name servers at your registrar’s website. The exact process for updating your domain’s name servers is different for each domain registrar. Instructions for popular registrars are available here. If your registrar isn’t listed, visit their website or contact their support team for assistance. If you cannot figure this out and you need to contact support at your registrar, here is a sample email you can send:
I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMI do not want to transfer my domain, but want to leave it registered with you. WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. They require the name servers to be updated as described.
It’s very easy, but you need to read all the document, step by step:
