Name server problems

  We recently became premium members at WordPress and therefore we are trying to change our domain from wayowayoafrica.wordpress.com to wayowayo.org. However when we enter Edit domain there only two options: Email and DNS and thus we cannot change the Name Server.

  We would appreciate help as soon as possible.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Although wayowayo.org has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. To learn about how to correctly map an existing domain, please see our documentation. If you’re not sure whether you own this domain or not, the WHOIS database record may help you out.

  We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Your name servers are as follows:

  NS18.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
  NS17.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

  If you have access to change the nameservers for this domain, please remove all nameservers not on the required list above.

  A DNS lookup for your blog returns the following information:

  Also note that after you set the nameservers correctly it can take up to 72 hours for the domain name to propagate throughout the internet after you have taken all the required steps. See here to observe the progress https://www.whatsmydns.net/ and know it’s not uncommon for your own ISP to be last to flush their DNS cache.

  Hi wayowayoafrica,

  I looked up your domain name and you seem to be registered with DomainNameRoundup.com. You’ll have to edit your nameservers there.

  While Wild West Domains isn’t on the list of domain registrars in this support article, you might still find it useful for finding where to go about changing your name servers:

  Hi!

  We appreciate the help you have given us, however we have not been able to change the Name Servers. As we write in the original post we can not change the name servers through the steps explained on the following support site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers Is there another way?

  Hi,

  The steps you’re trying to follow in your original post only work if your domain was registered/”created” by WordPress.com.

  From your domain’s WHOIS information, it is registered with http://www.domainnameroundup.com, and you’ll have to log in to their control panel to change your domain’s name servers.
