Name Servers
-
I’m having issues with my site being populated. I can’t login to my admin site of my wordpress (hosted by GoDaddy) to figure out and update my name servers. What are the default wordpress name servers? I tried ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com and they started working, but my site still isn’t populating, and I cant fix it without that info – help appreciated! Especially since I’m not tech savvy.

Hi there,
If you’re looking to point your domain to a site hosted here at WordPress.com, be sure to follow this guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If your domain is at GoDaddy, this guide will help you change the name servers over there.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/
Once you complete all these changes, it can take a few hours to start working.
Let us know if we can help further, and have a nice day. :)

Thanks for the follow up, but I’m still having issues…
I originally had a wordpress blog (username.wordpress.com), and bought my domain from GoDaddy, then hosted it through WordPress.
I’ve already paid for my domain name through GoDaddy, and everything was fine until recently.
The problem is, since my site isn’t populating, I can’t login to the admin site to change the name servers.
When I click on the second link you provided about changing name servers, I get this message “Domains are not available for this site.
You can only purchase domains for sites hosted on WordPress.com at this time.”So do I have to purchase something from wordpress to get this to work?
Additionally, does WordPress do phone support? I would love a phone number to call for help.
Thanks!

Hi @fcolasimbo, I hope you don’t mind me jumping in to help. We do not have a phone number, but we do have chat Monday-Friday if you are logged in with an account that has upgrades.
This account does not have upgrades, though. I can see you’ve got a Jetpack connection to a domain, but when I view that page I see a GoDaddy parking page.
So it is pointing to GoDaddy but does not bring up your site with them. Can you get in touch with them to correct that?

Hello – still trying to resolve the issue. I found my name servers, but now I don’t know the IP address – is there a way for you guys to give that information to me for fcolasimbo.com? I don’t have it and I can’t get my site back up without it. Thank you!

@fcolasimbo we don’t have that information because the site is not hosted here, at least it isn’t right now. It appears to be at GoDaddy. Only they would know the correct IPs for their servers.
You can map it to a site on our servers though if you’d like. Here’s how:

@supernovia GoDaddy is saying it’s you guys who would provide me with the IP address. Because my site isn’t responding, I can’t login to my admin page. I get an error message that I have an issue with Jetpack, I can’t fix the issue with jetpack because it’s connected through my admin site.
I know it’s technically not anyone’s fault, but I’m just trying to get my site back up.
Is there a way to grant temporary access just so I can try and fix the problem? I’m also not very technically savvy, so I’m just running into a lot of issues I am trying to figure out how to fix.
Thank you for your help

Do you mean grant temporary access to the site hosted with GoDaddy (we don’t have access either), or to https://fcolasimbo.wordpress.com/ ?
You should be able to access https://fcolasimbo.wordpress.com/ without any trouble. If you want to point the domain there, as GoDaddy seems to be suggesting, those steps I sent earlier would help (and an IP address would be another option to make that happen). However, there’s not much on that site so I doubt that’s what you have in mind.
Can you clarify what your end goal is?
