Name Servers and DNS

Hi!
I’ve got a problem with the Name Servers.
I registred a domain (finkundfroehlich.at) on a extern company and the mapping does not work. They get a failure note when typing in the DNS nameserver.
It even does not show me the option for DNS settings in my domains page. I don’t know what to do. I’m not sure, if there are any payments I have to do?!
Please help me!

I see a couple issues here:
1. You have purchased the “Site Redirect” upgrade. This is the upgrade you would use if you wanted to point your old _________.wordpress.com URL to a new non-WordPress.com site. If you want to use your domain with a WordPress.com site, you need the Domain Mapping upgrade. They are the same price, so I can just make the switch for you. But I need you to clarify that is what you want.
2. The nameservers for finkundfroehlich.at are not pointing to WordPress.com. Please follow the instructions here to set them to WordPress.com values:

Oh yes, I think that’s the problem… please switch it, so that finkundfroehlich.wordpress.com can be mapped on finkundfroehlich.at domain. I would like to use my domain with the WordPress.com site.
Then the registrar can type in the nameservers, I think.Thanks a lot!

@finkundfroehlich actually, wait just a bit longer; I realized there are a few more things we’ll need to adjust (done; I’ve just pointed mail to the old provider so it won’t stop working on you. If you plan to use mail through another service, you’ll need to update the settings.)
Also, you’ll need to point your domain here using these name servers:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com
Once you’ve done that, wait about 4-6 hours (up to 72) and you really will be set. Let us know if you need more help!
