Name servers being reset to wordpress
-
Thank you so much for adding the A-DNS!
The website doesn’t work yet, because the name servers also need to be changed.
the one “CNAME” that is fixed by wordpress should be
ghs.google.com.
I intend to buy more domains and do the same. How do I have to proceed? Also write a post here in the forum about it? or what is the correct way?
of course all this only if it finally works ;)
I appreciate your help!

I still am not receiving the email. I know both you and rootjosh have resent it, but I am definitely not getting it. What can we do? Are we sure this is the problem as to why the name servers keep resetting?
-
@weihnachtsbaeckerei2015 ah, you had it as a txt record rather than a cname. I’ve fixed that. Give it time now to start working.
And re: buying more domains, once you’ve bought them, please contact us and we’ll help you set them all up. I think we may need to remove the WordPress.com settings from our end.
-
@duskwriter I’m going to try emailing you. To clarify, it’s not going to go to this email address since you specified a different one when setting up the domain. I’ll send a note with a reminder. Cheers :)
-
So are you sending it to the email address that is currently setup with my profile or the one that was used when setting up the domain?
-
-
@duskwriter, you have two different emails. I emailed you at the account on file here:
https://wordpress.com/me/account
The verification emails are going to the other account.
It sounds like you’re filtering our emails. Can you please check any spam / trash / social / junk / bulk folders?
-
I’ve checked that email and don’t have any from you. However, I have gotten a wordpress receipt and all notices of each and every post on this thread at that email today. So I know it is working. Not seeing anything in spam etc. I have sent myself test emails from other addresses today that come through fine.
Do you want to try sending to both emails again or do you have another idea? , thanksPlease advise

Thanks a lot! It is working great now. My problem is resolved.
Really appreciate your help.
Have a great day and happy holidays and best wishes for 2016.I will purchase another domain, can I get back to you to do the same transfer to blogger? It seems it is impossible to do it on my own.
Maybe duskwriter has a similiar problem, as his symptoms are the same??
-
@weihnachtsbaeckerei2015, sure. If you have any trouble, feel free to chat with us and reference this thread.

Try an “in:all” search. In Gmail, it would look like this:
That one would help you find the email from us, which I’m guessing has gone straight to your trash somehow.
You can also try this search:
in:all karenbranan.com

Thanks so much velda. I have no idea why your mail will only show up with the in:all search. I got your message and realized there was a different email used to register the domain. I accessed that email and activated. Now I changed the name servers and they do not reset after i log in and out. Hopefully be able to verify the change in the whois in 24 hours or so. Thanks again.
-
I just saw that too, @duskwriter ! Good job; now that it’s verified, the wix nameservers are sticking.
Just give your internet connection a few hours now to catch up with the changes. I can already see your new Wix site here. :)

Thanks for your help. As a temporary workaround I was using a site redirect for karenbranan.com to http://www.karenbranan.com because I was able to add an A record and a cname for http://www.karenbranan.com when I was not able to change the name servers. Since I have the nameservers changed now I no longer need the site redirect. Is it possible to remove the redirect for the site so I don’t get billed for that again?
-
@duskwriter — removed and refunded. You were within your 30 days. I’ve gone ahead and removed Premium as well, keeping just the funds to cover your domain registration. You’ll just want to keep the domain renewed from year to year unless you decide to transfer it to another registrar.
You should expect to see your refund within the next several business days. Happy Holidays!
