Name switch between my own blogs

  Hello everyone,

  I have these two blogs (B1 and B2) that I want to switch the names. I then renamed B1 in B1OLD and want to rename B2 in B1… but it alwais fails informing the B1 is still exist.

  How can I accomplish this task?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I’m not understanding what you mean? Did you delete B1?

  Axreds has just renamed b1 to b1old, so that the b1.wordpress.com name becomes available.

  But that doesn’t seem to be happening.

  What you are trying should work fine, unless it takes a little time for the old domain name to get de-registered or something.

  The b1 name does not become available simply because you renamed it b1old. It is an existing blog URL so it is not available as a new name for b2. But the contents of b2 can be exported to b1.

  Both http://axreds.wordpress.com and http://thelittlereds.wordpress.com/ are empty blogs. Are you talking about another pair of blogs?

  thank you both. crunchedd is right: that is what I was trying to do.

  @1tess: yes axreds is b1 and thelittlereds is b2. so the only option I have is to configure b1 to resemble b2 by exporting the theme, settings, etc. Right?

  Unless I am missing something both of your blogs are empty so there is nothing to export or import.

  The easiest thing to do would be to change the themes.

  @1tess: b1 is empty because of the rename to B1OLD. anyway, I’ll change the theme as you suggested… :) thank you again for you help.
