  I’m almost sure this question has been asked and I did search through the forum. Couldn’t find it so I’m sorry for reposting it.

  We are using Theme: Coraline by Automattic Blog at WordPress.com. and would like to add the name of the blogger in the posted by line. Like this on the Twenty Ten theme. Posted on September 8, 2010 by Lavada Dee

  We can change themes and that may be the easiest way to do it but we were hoping there was a plugin or something that we could do to enhance the one we are using.

  There is no FTP access to free hosted wordpress.com blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into free hosted wordpress.com blogs.

  Dome themes display author’s (nick) names AKA bylines and some do not. Here is a listing of those themes that do and those that don’t display author (nick) names on posts. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/authors/

  P.S. Note that the Coraline theme can display the author (when viewing a single post) only if you have the CSS upgrade and make the required edit. That’s in the post I linked to above.
