name under avatar

  Hi guys

  Ok i am aware i have quite possibly asked this but cannot find it…but I have tried all ways to rid my name at the side of my avatar. I would like it underneath my pic but since I cannot achieve this I have decided to get rid of it all together. However, after going into my settings and changing ‘display’ username it is still there.

  Any help would be appreciated :-)

  Hi Sharon,

  You’ll need to switch your widgets around. In your Dashboard, go to Appearance > Widgets, and remove the Authors widget.

  For your needs, I believe the Gravatar widget would be more suitable. Click on the Custom box, and select your username instead. Then, type your name in the “Text displayed after Gravatar” field. This should help you achieve what you’re looking for!

  Right, I have done what you have suggested…yes it seems alot better though unless its me its not totally aligned with the photo…? I tried centring it but all that achieved was for the picture to move thus the writing even further out of alignment with the picture lol.

  I have left it currently as it looks better…however, on the author widget why did my name annoying go like that when I had changed settings to stop my name appearing – what did I miss out?
