I changed my nameserver to my hosting site. Once I did that my site stopped working. Here is the error. Index of /
cgi-bin/
Apache Server at shannonlmdowney.com Port 80so I tried to change it back to be hosted by wordpress. What am I doing wrong. How do I have WP host my site until I transfer all my files to my new server?

Your name servers are still pointing to Hostgator. If that’s where you want to direct the domain, I recommend working with Hostgator to make sure that you have the right name servers and that you have everything setup on their end.
If you want to direct the domain back to us, our name servers are:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM -
Hi there!
Do you just need access to your WordPress.com site to export your blog’s content?
If so, I can switch your primary domain so you can access your WordPress.com site without having to go through the trouble of switching your nameservers again.
If this isn’t the case, please let me know what you would like to do and I’ll do my best to help.
Cheers!
