    I have changed the namesarvers at my registrar, but the domain points already to the nameservers of wordpress. Tried it several times without success. How I can change it successfuly?

    Hi,

    DNS changes require some time to be effective. It may take 24 hours to 72 hours to reflect the change which is called DNS propagation. If you successfully change the nameserver address on your domain registrar site, it would take that time.

    More details here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

    Hope it helps.

    I know, but it’s over since one month. I also chnaged the registrar same effect. WordPress has taked over the domain no chance to change it. Here is the output from nslookup:

    -on-d.info canonical name = kybernetika.wordpress.com
    ybernetika.wordpress.com canonical name = lb.wordpress.com

    ordpress.com
    primary name server = ns1.wordpress.com
    responsible mail addr = mmmmmm.gmail.com
    serial = 2005071858
    refresh = 14400 (4 hours)
    retry = 7200 (2 hours)
    expire = 604800 (7 days)
    default TTL = 60 (1 min)

    This issue might need staff assistance. I’ve added a “modlook” tag to this post to get a staff’s attention.

    Hi there,

    Your domain d-on-d.info currently has these two name servers:

    • ns1.kybernetika.net
    • ns2.kybernetika.net

    Your domain then has these two CNAME (canonical name) records:

    • d-on-d.info. IN CNAME kybernetika.wordpress.com.
    • kybernetika.wordpress.com IN CNAME lb.wordpress.com.

    That setup won’t work to point your domain to WordPress.com. Instead of those CNAME records, you will need to change your domain’s name servers from the kybernetika.net name servers to these WordPress.com ones:

    • NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    • NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    We have more details on our support page to Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping). If you have any questions about that, your domain registrar can help you with the exact steps to make that change on your domain.

    Hi rachelmcr

    I know the domain mapping and had used it before. But I need the domain d-on-d.info for our own mail, webservers and other devices.

    How I can do entries for these additional devices if I use the wordpress nameservers?
    Domain mapping, as far as I know, points only to the blog then.

    Hi there,

    If your domain is mapped using the WordPress.com name servers, you can add Custom DNS records on this end to set up other services on your domain.
