Nameserver change – something's not right

    We changed our nameservers and made http://www.dallasanimalservice.org our primary domain, but something isn’t right. Help?

    Hi there,

    Your url dallasanimalservices.org is not a WordPress.com site.

    This isn’t the right WordPress forum to help with that problem. If you have a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software, there is a separate forum. Here is the link to that forum..

    The two versions are different and have separate forums. Please post your question at the WordPress.org forum. Someone there will sure help you out with your issue.
    If you don’t have a username at that forum, you’ll need to register before posting.

    I don’t understand. It is not self-hosted. It is WordPress hosted. dallasanimalservices.wordpress.com

    Hi there,

    I original url you provided dallasanimalservices.org. When I look up the hosting details on whois.net https://www.whois.net/ is shows that the hosting server is
    Name Server: NS27.WORLDNIC.COM
    Name Server: NS28.WORLDNIC.COM

    When I visit dallasanimalservices.wordpress.com, it gets redirected to dallasanimalservices.org .

    I am a volunteer here and cannot access your account to look into details.
    You can tag “modlook” in the tags side bar for someone from staff to help you. Please check the details again and if you feel that your site is WordPress.com hosted then tag for staff help. Staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

    btw if it is a WordPress.com hosted site the name servers should be

    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Thank you. The domain names have just been moved from Network Solutions to Go Daddy. We have changed the name servers in Go Daddy to ns1.wordpress.com etc. Not sure why whois.net isn’t updated yet. Maybe we haven’t given it enough time, but we’re getting a lot of pressure to make sure it is done correctly.

    I will tag staff just in case and hopefully they can check my account and verify what I have done on this end at least. Thank you!!!

    I am seeing http://dallasanimalservices.org/ point correctly to your WordPress.com site.

    It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency.

    Also, do let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

    @dasadministrator , that is what I guessed that probably to reflect that change its taking time. Glad you are able to get help from the staff.
