Nameservers already pointing to WordPress.com since 2020 & domain xferred

“I’m trying to connect my GoDaddy domain to my WordPress.com site, but when I try to add it in Upgrades → Domains, it says the domain isn’t available or gives an error. I’ve already updated the nameservers to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, and ns3.wordpress.com on GoDaddy’s side, and the site profiler confirms they’re pointing correctly to WordPress.com. I need help connecting this domain to my Personal plan site.” I just upgraded to a Personal Plan, but this is not my fault and it’s not GoDaddy, I want the domain registration remains with GoDaddy. Thank you.

Hi
Since your nameservers are already pointing to WordPress.com, the issue probably isn’t GoDaddy.
Sometimes this happens if the domain is already connected to another WordPress.com account, or if there’s a small system delay. Try removing and adding it again under Upgrades → Domains, and maybe test in an incognito window.
If it still shows an error, it’s likely something only WordPress.com support can fix on their side. Since you’re on the Personal plan, you can contact their support directly from your dashboard and they’ll sort it out.
