Nameservers changed, but my old site is still displaying?

  • Unknown's avatar

I have bought domain mapping for lebedis.com.
I have changed my nameservers to wordpress with my domain registrar.
    It briefly worked!
Then I changed lebedis.com to my primary domain.
Then both domains (primary and secondary) displayed my original site, but with a WordPress favicon.
I reset teh primary domain to wordpress. Now my wordpress domain shows my Blog, but my mapped domain (lebedis.com) continues to show my old website with a WordPress Favicom.

Please can you help! I can’t figure out the problem and I need to get my workspress site live (it’s a business website)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You probably want your primary domain to be lebedis.com, is that correct? I set it to primary under Store > Domains.

To update your favicon (blavatar), please see the following support article: Blavatars

    Hi Jenia,

    Thanks for the prompt response.

I set the primary in domains – that was when it seemed to repoint to my old site so I changed back.
The Blavatar I don’t care about, I just want the domain to show my WordPress blog, not my old site. I mentioned the Blavatar because it suggests that the site is somehow being rerouted through WordPress if it’s picking it up?

    Thanks

Yae! Scrub that, whatever you did it worked :) Many thanks indeed.

You are welcome! Sometimes after you make domain mapping changes, your browser needs to be force-refreshed or cache cleared so that you see the latest changes live. For future reference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
