Nameservers propagated, but old site still shows
-
I am mapping my domain to a wordpress site. I updated the nameservers on the host site admin page, and a check on both the wordpress site and external sites shows the nameservers have completely propagated, but the previous site still shows.
I realized the host site had Host Name (A) records pointing back to their IP address, so I copied them down in case something went wrong and then deleted them. Nothing else pointed away from wordpress at that point.
After deleting the A records, the domain is broken. Going to the url brings up a DNS error page. If the nameservers are properly loaded and propagated, why is the site not working?
