You need to be logged in as the user who purchased the domain, carolinelunger.
Then, you can follow this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
mygutsy does not own the domain, that’s why you can’t change the nameservers. You need to log in as carolinelunger.

ohh so I figured it out. Why would my dashboard and username change when I changed to wordpress.com? thanks :) I am super happy now!!

They changed because the two sites are completely independent. There is no reason they would be the same.

OHHH you should maybe make that more clear in the WP instructions..idk just a thought!! so nobody else should go through this! will people be able to see this conversation?

Yes, people can see this conversation. The forum is a good resource, because you can generally find someone who’s got exactly the same issue and then read their solutions.

PERFECT!! you guys respond fast too.i thought it was going to be a week or so.. why doesn’t WP have a contact line phone line or direct e-mail?

They do have an email, but they also have a backlog of a couple of thousand support requests. The forum is ALWAYS faster.
I think they don’t do phone support because they want to limit the channels and it’s always easier to click on a written link than to ask someone to repeat it letter by letter. Some people, me included, do offer phone support, but I at least am not cheap.
