Naming a search box

Is there any way to name a search box? For example, “Search the blog.” Currently, the site just has a search box but no descriptor.

The site linked to your username is producing a “404” and will not load. It doesn’t appear to be a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We cannot help you here at WordPress.com with any site that’s not being hosted by WordPress.com. I believe this is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/
