Navigating Gutenberg
-
I decided to be adventurous while updating my site to a new theme, and start using Gutenberg also. I’m not sure that was a good idea, but I want to at least give it a decent trial before I give it up! :(
Can someone help me with navigating around Gutenberg please? I’m finding it difficult to move from where I am to somewhere else. An example is going from editing one page to editing another. I’d normally see the dashboard over on the left, so selecting Pages or Posts and then finding the next one I want to edit would be easy, but I don’t seem to be able to get to the dashboard when I want to. Sometimes I end up in the WordPress “My sites” page, which is very disconcerting. Other times I end up with a different, much smaller , sidebar with a few items in it (I can’t remember what they are now and I don’t seem to be able to find it when I want to).
Are there any instructions on how to set up the Gutenberg editor so we can easily find our way around?
Thanks.

Also, how can we reduce the gaps between blocks? With the old editing, I could use CSS to make margin-top:-30px; if I wanted and so put two pieces of text much closer together, but now I don’t seem to be able to lay out text elements the way I want. Is this a trade-off with Gutenberg that we lose a lot of this ability to make things the way we want but gain some ease of use for beginners? Are experienced users staying away from Gutenberg? Should I go back to the classical editor for now?
Thanks for any ideas?
