  On one of my blogs, when I login I get to the dashboard, but there are no tabs for all of the other areas like:
  # Write
  # Manage
  # Design
  # Comments
  etc.

  I have manually type in the extension for the above pages and subpages for editing and tweaking.

  Also, there is no dashboard link to get back to the dash board on these pages.

  This support forum is for WordPress.com hosted blogs only. If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums, not here.

  Actually from the titles you listed for navigation, I can see you are self-hosted and using an older version of wordpress. You need to inquire at the wordpress.ORG forums as Sam suggests which is where the self-hosted version of wordpress is supported.
