  Hi! I am using the Twenty Ten Them and would like to completely eliminate the Navigation bar near the tip of every page. Is this possible, how can it be done? If it is not possible can I change the black background color of the Navigation bar? The URL is: https://texarty.wordpress.com

  Create a custom menu with nothing in it and then assign that custom menu to the primary location.

  Thanks for the help. I am still wrestling with this problem and not quite sure I that I can get the results that I would like.
  With your help I now see how I can eliminate the Navigation Menu but I think it would also eliminate the menu I have in the right hand column which I hope to keep. My Twenty Ten Theme only has one menu but all my pages actually have two, the one in the Navigation bar and the one in the right hand column and is very confusing.

  I would like to eliminate the Navigation bar menu but maintain the menu I have in the right hand column which may not be possible with this theme.

  You need to create a second menu with the stuff in it that you want to show in the sidebar and then use the custom menu widget.
