navigation bar font sizing and color
-
i’d like to resize the font in the navigation bar and the color. i vaguely remember doing this on a wordpress site like about 2 years ago with type kit, but now all i can manage to see is that it requires some kind of css code, which i’d rather avoid. anyways, if i need to change something with the css code, there’s no clear way for me to actually view the original code for the template i’m using (not clear to me, at least), so that’s pretty frustrating. but i’d still rather stay out of all this css mess. seems like a pretty standard adjustment… i toyed around with lousy websites years ago and managed to do this without a scrunched brow. anyways, i’m a graphic designer, strictly visual, not a web-lord-master, so any advice would be valued.

Hi there,
In order to change the Navigation bar and color you will indeed need to change your site’s CSS. I apologize for the inconvenience!
To do so, you’ll need to go to:
https://ywamoslo.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=editcss
And on this page, on the right hand side of the screen under “Mode,” click Edit and change it to Replace and click Save. This will allow you access to your theme’s CSS.
If you’re not sure what you’d like to change, you can check out our CSS Customization Forum, which is available right here:

by the way, thanks for the reply. i don’t mean to sound ungrateful, just may be at a personal impasse.

I fully understand! I am not offended in the slightest. WordPress.com isn’t for everyone, though we’d like it to be! :)
Keep in mind that the Custom Design addon is refundable for 30 days after purchase, so if you decide at any point within that time that you don’t want to mess with it, you can either cancel it yourself or let us know and we’ll take care of it for you and refund you.
