navigation bar has disappeared.can you tell me how to get it back?

  navigation bar has disappeared.can you tell me how to get it back? -many thanks.www.bethelchristianfellowshipuk.wordpress.com.
  e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff); i am jim harrison- i have been building sites for my Pastor and the church i attend (Bethel Christian fellowship) where they will be able to blog, load videos and spread the gospel, share what we do as a group;i am a raw beginner at web building … please e-mail me at the gmail address with advice, and how to get the nav bar back… am just at the point ready to migrate e-mail accounts and sites to the pastor team’s control… tried the browser/cache trick it didnt work

  By default, the navigation bar shows pages that you have created. Do you have any published pages?

  If you are using a custom menu, check to see that there are items in that menu. Did you by chance create and activate a blank menu (with no items in it)?

  I did have a custom menu that was blank; however the navigation bar was still at the top of the page and working fine… what may have caused problems is that i placed an image map of the outlying/ off site websites [ youtube, photobucket] etc on one of the pages. That page appears to have deleted or been taken down: might have caused the problem, activating a blank menu…. not sure what to do to get the menu back in place…i have 25 pages; 20 posts (most as templates)… and was just linking tumblr, twitter, etc across. I can still navigate by the pages listing down the side… but many of our older members would probably prefer the dropdown horizontal navigation bar….

  At appearance > menu, in the upper left in the theme location pulldown, select the blank area at the top of the location list and then click “save” and see if things come back.
