Navigation buttons
-
I am creating a website using the Appleton block theme. I have free membership at the moment. Is there any way to add a button at the end of the navigation menu, kinda like this: https://harmonictransitions.com/ I can see quite a few solutions for this with wordpress.org and css styling. I was just wondering if it was possible with just the block editor in wordpress.com? On resizing the website the button would appear in the drop-down hamburger menu on smaller devices.

Hi there,
You can add a button at the end of your navigation menu by editing the Header template and inserting a Buttons block. Here’s a useful guide that walks you through this process: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/customize-your-header/
However, considering that you’re using the Appleton block theme, which comes with a collapsible menu, it could get a bit tricky. While the block editor offers powerful customization, making this particular adjustment on a theme with a collapsible menu would require some custom CSS styling.
Currently, on the free plan, CSS customization isn’t available. However, if you are willing to upgrade to our Premium plan, you’ll gain the ability to use CSS, and we would be happy to help you figure out the necessary CSS code to make your button display correctly on the menu.
Please let me know if you have any more questions or if there’s anything else you need help with. I’m here to help.
