Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?

The more I consolidate the menu, the better it looks via mobile, but still not 100% correct.

Hi there,
Firstly, I’m nowhere near the Keystone State, but that looks like a festival that Totoro would very much like to attend! Sadly though, we can’t help with your issue directly because we don’t host honesdalerootsandrhythm.com on our WordPress.com managed hosting.
To explain, we are a fully managed hosting provider and use a custom server environment that is optimized for WordPress, provides built-in security and performance improvements, as well as in-house support for your site questions.
Because of the way we’ve optimized our service, we also use a customized version of WordPress that is different (under the hood) from what you use at InMotion Hosting. As a result, we do not have access to your site and are not familiar with the source of your issue.
I did take the time to examine the source code of your site however, and can see it is using the TwentySeventeen theme. The issue you are referring sounds like a display issue related to your theme and not a general WordPress problem, so usually the best place to turn to for help is with the creators of your specific theme. I was able to find that here: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentyseventeen/
The folks in that forum will be in the best position to take a closer look and advise you. I also wanted to add that mobile menus (generally speaking) struggle to correctly display deeply nested sub-menus. This is not a WordPress-specific issue but an acknowledgment that phone screens are pretty small and it’s hard to design a system that will display a lot of menu links in such a confined space.
For site owners we see with this issue we often coach them to approach menus from a different perspective, and consider offering a smaller number of links. For example you could just offer the top level links in your menu, and when folks land on that page you then show links to the other areas of the site in links on the page itself, rather than in the menu. It basically lets the pages do the heavy lifting so the menu itself can be simpler and work better on small screens.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
