Navigation menu overlaying blog page

    I have just joined WordPress and on my homepage (which is a blog post) I can’t stop the navigate and site logo siting over the top of the page content when you scroll. I have tried the sticky option, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
