Navigation Problem/Hiearchy
-
Hi–
I have searched the blog but can’t seem to find an answer to a navigation issue, especially Page Attibures and Naviation. I am revamping my blogsite. I deleted some old pages and added some new ones. Same theme.
Every page show up along the top horizontal navigation bar. But some of them are subcategories. I have been into the Pages Attribute area and tried selecting “no parent,” and also placing them under the correct parent I need them under. The pages show with a dashdashsubpage in the display, so I know (in some way) they are being hiearchially arranged the way I want. But they continue to show up on the main naviation bar. My theme is twenty-ten, and I know this drop-down stuff worked before with this theme.
I am at novelnovels.wordpress.com [I want the Future Novel, Previous Chapters, and Synopsis pages underneath the Submissions Tab] This may be something really easy, but I can’t figure it out!
Any help would be appreciated!Thanks

This sounds like a custom menu issue to me. Please check out this support documentation instruction and follow it. You can select and position the sub-pages (child pages) and display them under the parent pages. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

Thanks so much! That solved the problem.
I think when I originally created the site, the menu moving feature wasn’t there or else I did it another way.
Thanks again!

If you did a custom menu, then the parent/child page and category/child category stuff does’t really matter.
