Nearly Finished, Quick Help with Header

    I nearly have everything finished for my new blog. I am so happy that I worked it (nearly) all out. ^^

    All I need help with, to finally launch my site is to remove the original header. On Cutline there is the normal header image which I want removed because I use a bigger header image instead of the title. I can’t find how to remove it in the css. Please help it would be so awesome to get it up and running!!!

    It’s here: #masthead background . You will have to replace the URL of the original with the URL of you header image, and you will also have to change the height and width to match your header image. You will probably also have to change the height and width in #masthead a .

    But unfortunately when I do all this the header image is there (good), but the default custom one is still below (bad). So then I have two headers.

    Well I was wrong, it somehow needs to be in #header img (I think). Try reverting the other change back to what it was and then add background: url(‘urlofheaderimage’) no-repeat; and see what happens.

    If you have pasted the entire CSS (with your modifications) into the CSS edit window, make sure that you select “start from scratch and just use this” before saving otherwise the original CSS and your CSS will fight each other.

    Typically I put only what I am modifying into the CSS edit window and then select “add this to…”

    Oh! Thank you for explaining that. So even when I build from scratch and try changing background: url (‘urlofheaderimage’) to my image, both headers are still there. However, the bottom, original header (the one I want deleted) has moved to the right so most of it is off the page. Unfortunately I have not upgraded in case I don’t get it to work, so I cannot show you my site. The URL is “forwardmusic.wordpress.com” if that helps.

    I did it! I found out you can move the text up, so I just replaced the header with a white image. Thank you anyway thesacredpath!
