Neat background

    I have a little problem with the neat theme. This is my favourite theme, made some buttons for it, a nice header. Now my blog is complete.

    The only problem is that they have changed the background, I think. Or the backgroundimage disappeared.
    Before the current background there was one with a gradient in it. It went from dark blue to lighter at the bottom.

    Where did it go? I don’t know? The little preview in the theme choose section still has that gradient, but all the blogs with that theme lost it.
    I already sended feedback, but didn’t get any answer (sended it 2 days ago).

    Who can help me?

    Saw some extra blogs with the neat theme. It is indead each, and sure each blog.
    Checked out the CSS-file of the neat-theme and maybey already found the problem.
    I DON’T have the CSS-editing upgrade. So I can’t change a thing about it. The CSS doens’t even need a change. Since the colour that is showed right now is the backgroundcolor. Only the image is lost (I think).
    So, to the admins, please check it out!

    edit: hmm,CSS file of neat changed. version 0.01 is it now, did they put on an old file? Is there some cleaning up going on? Anyway, it is a step backwards.

    Found the code back, How it was done. With the link to the image that is shown as background (after some repeating).

    It is only like 4kb big, so it won’t slow down your blog, the loading time. Your CSS file won’t become more complexer, just one line of code extra.
    Why is it changed? It isn’t the neat theme anymore, but a Neat.0

    Using a firefox 2.0.0.1 browser I can see your header with feet walking away on the sand just as I could the first time you posted in another thread on this some time ago now.

    I’m inclined to think that you might like to try force clearing your browser so you can see your header as I do.
    Windows using IE or FF – ctrl-F5
    Mac – Cmd-Shift-R in FF

    If that does not work for you then I’ll tell you now that wordpress works very well with IE 7, Firefox 2 and Opera 9 browsers. Safari browsers, Yahoo browsers and IE 6 browsers have issues. Therefore, if you have not upgraded your browser to IE7, FF2 or Opera 9 you should consider doing so as this will probably solve your viewing problem.

    As far as changing versions of Neat go I really think you may be barking up the wrong tree. I can see your header as clear as day. But if you wish to discuss Neat versions then you can do so by sending in a feedback to staff.

    The header isn’t the problem. It is the background. It must be one that is composed out of the folowing image:

    Header, buttons, everything works fine, only the background image is gone, and that hapened with all wordpress blogs that are using the neat file, why? because they have replaced the standard CSS file of Neat by an old one.

    My question, can anyone tell me why and if it’s an error, can the admins fix this (put a link to this topic in a feedback with some explanation)

    Please send staff a feedback. Volunteers on the forum have no back-end access to blogs and we cannot help you. :(

    P.S. I put up Neat on my test blog and it’s displaying fine. The background to my eyes is the same as it’s always been. I looked at your blog and to me the two are identical.

    This is actually a post where I can explain everything that I have found out so that it wouldn’t be a long feedback message and so that I won’t forget things.

    This isn’t an error just for me.
    I also know that you can’t do anything about it. The only persons that can do something about this (an answer why it is changed for example) are the admins.

    If I had more time, I would write my layout myself. But time is against me, and so is money. So I’m stick here (however I am verry gladfull for WordPress.com since everything else works fine, just a little thing with the background, but what to argue for)

    Found out that in IE, the background works fine.

    Problem fixed!!! Think they saw it 2.

    Sheesh … I feel somewhat miffed. You sent a feedback before you posted here knowing we couldn’t help you. That means you caused me to waste time typing for nothing. Sheesh … that’s not very nice at all, at all. :(
