Need a staging solution for changing a theme on business plan

  My current theme is expired. I have business plan on wordpress.com.

  I want to install a new theme (hello theme), and use elementor.
  However, there is no staging site solution.

  I’ve read where suggestions were to create a new site. Am I able to copy my current site to apply the new theme to?

  I don’t want to do it on the live site obviously. I need to keep it up and running and the only suggestion that the wordpress chat has given to me is to set the site to a “under construction” page which is not possible for me.

  Please help!

  Hi there,

  We do not provide a staging environment on WordPress.com, so the only way to do this is to start a second site, and purchase a business plan for that second site.

  However, we do have a 30 day refund, so if you were to wrap up your testing in that time you can cancel for a full refund.
