Need a zone record/reference added to WordPress for tlcphotografix.co.za

  Hi all,

  Ive been asked by my domain registrar to have WordPress create a zone record/reference for tlcphotografix.co.za before they (my registrars) change their name servers.

  I saw a post with a request very similar to mine and it looked as if the issue was sorted out relatively quickly and easily. Can someone please point me in the right direction or if a moderator/ WP engineer can please make the relevant changes, it would be much appreciated.

  I have manually added a zone record for your domain.

  You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

  How long should it normally take for everything to be in operation?

  I’ve changed the DNS to the one’s prescribed on WP site… and then followed the instructions from WordPress to map the domain but it still isn’t working…i get a message back saying that WordPress cant map tlcphotografix.co.za

  On the WP site it says the DNS settings should be changed to: (All in uppercase letters)

  NS.1 WORDPRESS.COM
  NS.2 WORDPRESS.COM
  NS.3 WORDPRESS.COM

  When i change the nameservers from the registrars side should it all e in UPPERCASE (as is on the WP help guide) or does it not really matter if its upper or lower case?

  Am i missing something or should i wait a while longer?

  Correction, this is what it looks like on the WP ‘mapping an existing domain’ guide …

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  When i change the DNS settings from my domain registrar does it need to all be in UPPERCASE like the above or does it not matter?

  Case doesn’t matter, but it looks like your nameservers have not been saved yet.

  So do you recommend i contact my domain registrar and get them to see if the nameservers have been saved and if not then get them to save it?

  I unfortunately dont have direct access to be able to change the nameservers….only when i went through the purchase process of the domain, i was presented an option at the time to configure the nameservers, which i did according to what the WP mapping guide suggested…

  Yes, in this case definitely contact your registrar.
