Need access

  I want add posts to the above blog but do not have access to do it. I haven’t used it in awhile. I originally hosted it with Bluehost, but after talking with them, they cannot help me. Can I host this site with WordPress and get access to it again?

  Hi there:

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since we’re not affiliated with Bluehost, we have no special access to nor any ability to recover your website. If you did not have a backup of your site before Bluehost cancelled your hosting plan, then I’m afraid your content is gone.

  You could recreate the site here at WordPress.com by looking up your site on the Internet Archive and copying the content to new posts and pages here, but that would be a slow process if you had a lot of posts and pages previously.
