  Our web developer has not been employed by us for years now. The account seems to be connected to her personal email.

  I’ve tried using the account recovery but I don’t have the information that it’s requesting such as transaction code. I assume the web developer purchased this on behalf of the company.

  How else can I get access to this site? The username is the CEO’s name. We can show ownership of the domain. Help?

  If GoDaddy says it’s a WordPress issue, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support where they likely have more experience with the type of problem you are experiencing.
