Need access to download theme feature for free as a student

    I am a student and my group and I need access to the download theme feature for the use in one project to build a site. We have a template but as we are students and only need this for one project, we cannot buy the business plan. Wondering if it is possible to have access to this feature for a limited time just to complete this project.

    Hi there!

    If you want to download one of the free themes, you don’t need to have this feature activated. You can find the free themes available for download in the WordPress.org site.

    For example, you can download the Twenty Twenty Two theme here, which is the latest launched by WordPress and takes advantage of Full Site Editting:

    Are you trying to install a third-party theme to your WordPress.com site? If yes, please keep in mind that this requires a Business plan.

    If you’re not in a position to upgrade, you may want to consider a free theme by going to Appearance → Themes.
