Need access to old site
-
Hi. I’m pointing my domain jhollywooddesigns.com to another website host. But I need to access old wp admin backend to look at numbers. How can I best do that?
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hi –
Looking at the domain I can see it’s registered with GoDaddy. You will need to talk to them about adding different DNS records to point the domain to your new hosting provider. It looks like the domain is currently pointing to webhostinghub.com.
It sounds like you’ll be running a stand alone WordPress installation rather than using our managed hosting environment here at WordPress.com.
Help with that version of WordPress comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ Keep in mind that with this you’re responsible for all updates, security, seo, mobile compatibility/theme, and so forth. When your site is on our managed service we take care of those details, and many more, so you can focus on the content. If you’d like to chat more about those details I’ll be glad to answer all your questions.
Our hosting plans can be purchased monthly or yearly. The yearly option has considerable savings. It’s also refundable for 30 days. We can upgrade/downgrade the plan at any point to match your project needs and budget. The plans are outlined on this page: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Hi – I believe you misunderstood the issue.
I used to have the domain pointing to wordpress but since changed to point to another host.
As a result, I cannot get to the old wp-admin dashboard since the domain now points somewhere other than WordPress. But I do need historical data.
My question is: Is there a way to access the previous wordpress admin dashboard to pull historical data without changing the domain back to wp? Do I point another domain there?

Hello there,
I used to have the domain pointing to wordpress but since changed to point to another host.
From what we can see, the domain has never been pointing toward WordPress.com.
To access the older installation, you would need to reach out to the original hosting provider, to make sure the installation is still in place.
I hope this helps so far.
