Need admin access to our company’s blog

    Hello WordPress team. We are contacting you to check if you can help us access our blog account as an admin. Last year we hired a company to redesign our website and blog, but they are not replying to us once we need the admin access to update company info there. Now my user just have permission to post. The design company does not own the rights for our website. If you need more information, please contact.

    Hi there:

    To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise nor do we have any special access to help you. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

    You would need to work out the problem with the company who created your site as they ultimately own it from an install and hosting standpoint. If you’re not able to come to a resolution, I recommend reaching out to an attorney for more information and guidance.
