Need advise about photo gallery

How to create a cool beautiful gallery? I have mine as a added media file on a page (newborns gallery), but I would like the new images that I add to appear on top. Is there a possibility to do that? If no, how can I create a beautiful gallery on a separate page with not very small images? I want my new works to be at the top all the time ))
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You can add images as well as the order they display from the gallery editor.Open your page editor, then click on your gallery until you have a cross and a pencil appearing at the top of your gallery
(you can see it on this link https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/#editing-a-gallery-or-slideshow)
Click on the pencil to edit your gallery, you will have 2 tabs, switch to the edit tab, from there you can drag and drop your photos to make them appear in the order you choose. -
Hi. Thx. Yeah I figured it out myself. But when you have 100+ photos and you want to ad 5+ more and you have to drag them all the time….. It’s a very long process (( Just don’t understand why isn’t there an option for the new photos to appear on top…. (((( I thought I missed something

Hi there, I’m glad to hear you got this figured out, but hope it’s OK to add something.
When you have 100+ images on a single page, besides your own issue of needing to change the position of those new images, consider that anyone with a slower internet connection will need to wait while those images load when viewing the page.
To assist in making “smaller” galleries, you can break your Gallery pages into separate “pages” by using pagination’s “Next Page” option https://en.support.wordpress.com/nextpage/ between a set number of images, or by creating child pages to the parent page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-options/
Let us know if you have any other question about this.

Thank you. I will browse tomorrow and see if that might be an option. It would be cool if I could set the pages backwards, so my new image would always be at the 1st page )) And thank you for the advice! I did not think about the slower speed )

Hello! I thought I’d post here before starting a new thread, but need help with my photo gallery of my profile. The images are displaying oddly, and the Gravatar sits right over my face on my background photo, and the images in the profile itself do not display right when you click on them, and instead of popping up with the whole image when you click on them, they open up with an oddly cropped image that the site is doing. How can I manage this and if there is no way, can Word Press create features to make this easier?? Also, I am very new to this, so if you cannot view my profile to see what I mean, let me know, please. Thanks!

@towarwithlove Hello there, your topic is unrelated to the one posted here. Staff and volunteers can better assist you if you open your own thread at https://wordpress.com/help/contact Thanks.

@justjennifer I was reading the article about the child pages, but I do not understand how to create them (( And there is not a good explanation with screenshots about creating a next page in the first article. So I can’t do any changes ((((( It takes me so much time to change something on this website. It’s killing me ((((

Hello again @diamondstudiophotography Of course. The “easiest” way is to drag and drop those pages into order via a custom menu in the Customizer. You can read about that here https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ It sounds more complicated than it is. Keep one browser tab open while you do it.
To try and simplify the explanation of the “next page” option, make your Gallery with about 25 photos and then add the “next page” link in the Editor. After that you can add a second (or third or fourth) gallery, adding the “next page” before each gallery.
It won’t look like much when you view it in the Post/Page but when you go to Preview it, you should see that each gallery resides on its own separate “page”. (If you want to see an example on another of my sites. Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you’ll see the “Pages 1, 2” link.)
Hope that helps, but let me know if you have any other question.
