    Do you need to have an account in order to post comments on a blog?

    Generally speaking “no”. However, the settings made by a blogger on their blog may vary this.
    See: Options -> General and look for ” Membership: ____ Users must be registered and logged in to comment.
    See also: Options -> Discussion and take note of all the possible settings.
    Also note that bloggers can choose to have “private” blogs and to password protect them.
