Hello all. Tried posting here a few months ago and received zero response. I need help getting back into an old account for the site listed. The email I used years ago to create that site and the associated account is no longer valid.

I remember what the email was along with the password. However, any attempts to login will only allow me to do so through sending a link to the inactive email.

I additionally tried to get in through the “recover my account” page. But I don’t have any of the 3 proofs of ownership required to send a help message to support. It’s very frustrating to be completely unable to get in touch with anyone at all.

I’d really appreciate it if someone one the support team could help me out. Or if anyone could point me to something that actually allows me to speak with support.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You don’t need an email address if you can remember your password and your username. I trust you remember your username??

Unfortunately I do not remember my username. Only email and password.

Hi there, account recovery on a free account can definitely get tricky.

Is this regarding the site of: http://romancopywriting.wordpress.com/ ? And are you saying that you don’t have access to the email address that is associated with your WordPress.com user account for the username @roeg123 ?

The thing that is a bit odd here is that you have to log into WordPress.com with that information in order to post in the forums. So if you’re able to post in the forums, then going to WordPress.com should be taking you directly into the account.

I’ll also send an email to the address on the account and we can see if you receive it.

If you’re not referring to the site of: http://romancopywriting.wordpress.com/ can you give us the URL of the site you are referring to?

It sounds like you may have already reviewed our account recovery information, but just in case, this is the link to our guide: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

Hi, yes that’s the site I’m referring to. I am logged into the account with that email under the account I’m speaking to you now. However, there are no sites that pop up at all on my page. In the sites tab, it just says “no sites available”. I will respond to your email so I can send you a screenshot.

Thank you @roeg123. I’ll go ahead and close this thread and we can continue via email.
