Need assistance with blog format

Hi there, I see there is now a ‘block’ format for uploading content. Could you please assist me with changing the format for blogging back to the classic mode? I see that my previous posts, when clicking them are still saved using the classic format so I’d like to make sure all future posts also receive the classic format rather than the block method. Please let me know, thank you.

To switch to the classic editor, click on the ‘. . .’ settings icon in the upper right corner of the editing screen.
Then, click on Switch to Classic Editor.

unfortunately when i do this, there is no option for that. on my ‘…’ i only see top toolbar, spotlight mode, full screen mode, visual editor, code editor, jet pack, manage all reusable blocks, keyboard shortcuts, copy all content & options.

If you’re talking about an unnamed site hosted elsewhere and using the WordPress.org software then you need to download a plugin to restore the Classic editor.
