Need assistance with changing my site name

Hello! I have a blog site here (FREE one) and don’t know much about what I am doing, other than to type a new blog and publish it. My page is called ‘Countrybizness’ and comes up as ‘https://countrybizness.wordpress.com/’ I want to change the countrybizness to something else to match what I have on other social media sites. I found a page where I could change it, but got the following ‘Once you change your site address, countrybizness.wordpress.com will no longer be available. Did you want to add a custom domain instead?’ That causes me to panic. Will I lose all of my blogs that are there?? Or will they remain under my new page title? Thanks!

Hi there,
When you change your site’s address the previous address will become unavailable. But you won’t lose your followers. Everything will automatically be migrated to your new address.

Thank you so much! I did click on the article but need to look at it again when I have more time. Just to be perfectly clear on what you are saying though….. let’s pretend I want to call my new page: I love cats. When I change it, the new site will be Ilovecats.wordpress.com and the countrybizness will be gone. But my current page theme/format and all of my blogs will still be there??? Just a new site name? Obviously I do not do well with change, lol. Just want to make sure that I am not losing anything other than the old name.

Exactly that. Only the address will change. The rest will remain unaffected.

Thank you so so so much!! You are probably laughing to yourself because I really don’t understand hardly any of this, but you made this super easy. I am excited to change my site name and maybe play around with some of the other themes now too.
