Need assistance with recovering login
-
I am unable to prove account ownership on the recovery form because I have none of the requirements. The only thing I can send for proof of ownership is a handful of emails that I have asking to approve/moderate comments on this domain. I’m really not sure what happened to my login, because that email is still active and it’s not recognized as a username or way to log in.
Unfortunately, I think the account is so old that something may have happened to it at some point.
I really would only like to be able to log in so I can delete the site, so if that’s something that you can handle on your end I’d appreciate it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi there!
We’re unable to help you log into the WordPress.com account if you don’t have any of the accepted proof of account ownership. However, if the site has personal information, we can make it private for you, as mentioned here.
Please let me know if you’d like us to make the site private.

Yes, I’d like you to make the site private.
I’d also like you to make hollycatherine.wordpress.com private as well.
Both sites are over 10 years old at this point and I’m a little frustrated that the only options for account recovery are either through purchases (I’m on the free tier) or emails that have long been deleted. I don’t even think 2FA was an option at the time I created those sites.

Hi there!
I’ve made the two sites you mentioned private, so they are no longer publicly accessible.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
