Need coherent MENU options in EIGHTIES theme if possible please?

  Eighties theme has two MENU BARS, neither of which seem to function. The RHS four-bar one is impenetrable – it sports my name above a blank white rectangle in which I would love to enter information but nothing doing. The other LHS three-bar menu contains a search box which when the name of a page or post is entered comes up with a dog’s breakfast: an incoherent mixture of post and pages. Any suggestions?

  Three pages: HOME, ABOUT, BLOG. So far thirteen postings are supposed to be in BLOG.
