Need domain cancelled

  Hello,

  I have tried everything to cancel a previous domain on my blog. I have even upgraded to a new domain since WordPress would not allow me to renew the expired fromchainstodreams domain. But my site is still saying that the expired domain must be renewed. I’ve tried, and I’ve upgraded. And I’ve tried harder. I have looked at all forums and it says there is a cancel button. No there’s not.

  I need fromchainstodream removed and my site to use jeremyandbaileyblog.com as the primary domain. I need my site live. Please fix this. I’m getting very angry at the lack of support since I can find no email or phone number and have been trying all day.

  Hi there,

  Are you sure you don’t see any cancel link on the My Upgrades page?

  Yes, I’m sure. In fact, this domain does not show up in my upgrades, only in my domains and there is an edit button, not a cancel button. I did try to renew the fromchainstodreams and it wouldn’t let me. I even have a receipt showing I was charged $0 as the upgrade failed. Do I registered an entirely new domain thinking that would fix it but I still get the “Uh oh” page. Very frustrating. I have found many other threads on here of others with the same problem and staff has always had to cancel so thank you very much for flagging it.

  Is it normal to have this poor of response time? I’m sorry but this should not be happening. All I need is a domain canceled and my site live since it is apparently impossible for me to do on my end. I would really appreciate the help. I have found many forums where staff had to intervene to cancel a domain because of no cancel button. It is obviously a common problem and I am asking that it be remedied immediately since I already paid for an upgrade (came through on my banking today) and still have no live site. Please delete the expired fromchainstodreams domain ASAP.

  You’ve set a different domain (jeremyandbaileyblog.com) as primary for jeremyandbailey.wordpress.com. Although you can map more than one domain to your blog, only one can be primary. To read more about setting a primary domain, please see this documentation.

  My apologies. And thank you for bringing me back to earth. I’m not trying to be a b****. I have tried everything listed there to cancel that domain and nothing works because there is no cancel button. I only purchased the new domain because it would not allow me to renew the old so i hoped buying a new one would fix it. It didn’t. I will try to be more patient. I understand job stress and do not want to contribute to someone else’s. Take care.

  Hi @jeremyandbailey,

  Since the domain fromchainstodream.com is owned by a different user than you are writing from we will need a post from that account in this thread or an message via our contact form requesting the expired domain be removed from the account.

  As the domain is owned by another user this is also why you are not seeing the cancel button in the account you are posting from.

  Once we have the owner’s permission we can remove the expired domain.

  My apologies. I forgot that I had that registered under this account. I am still struggling with getting it canceled from my end. So will you please delete the fromchainstodreams domain since I already changed the primary domain to jeremyandbaileyblog. Thank you very much for your help.
