Need domain name back, cancelled it last night by accident

    I wanted to retain my domain name but not the service because the template I bought from Creative Market apparently only works with WordPress.ORG, not WordPress.COM, and I missed that before I bought a Pro subscription to WordPress.COM. So I got a refund but got confused and forfeited my domain name unfortunately. This was just last night and I would like to get it back because I would like to transfer the domain to Bluehost so I can use the template. How can I do that please? Thank you so much for your help and time.

    Actually, most outside templates work on WordPress.com Pro now. That wasn’t always the case, but we made a change several years ago and now they’re supported.

    I can see you canceled the domain and plan, though, and were refunded for both. And when you cancel a new domain it will go into holding for a bit. Please let us know which of these options works best for you:

    Wait: You can wait about five days for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again here or with another provider.

    Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice for the domain ($18). Once it’s restored, it will redirect to your free site, or you can point it to another host now and transfer after 60 days.

    Purchase an Annual Plan: To host your site here after all, buy the Pro plan, skip the domain option, then update us here. The Pro plan is managed WordPress hosting with direct support, maintenance, security, spam filtering, backups, and so on.
