need email change help

  I was trying to do a site in past called messengeroftheglory.com and had an email called (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Fastforward to now I keep trying to change my email to (email visible only to moderators and staff) because I just bought the domain howtomakeithome.com BUT a long time ago I think i used (email visible only to moderators and staff) on here for a site I no longer have. When I try to change my email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff) it says that it is already in use. PLEASE HELP

  Hi there,

  According to our records, the email address you mentioned is connected to an account that was closed about 4 days ago. To explain what happens when accounts are closed, there is a 30 day grace period where the owner of the account can ask for it to be restored to active status. After that period has passed the account is purged from our system, and at that time the email is freed-up to use with any other account you wish.

  If you wish, you can revive that account by emailing passwordhelp[at]wordpress[.]com with the email address you used in setting up your account (not the one that you used to set up your @susanjax account) and our account recovery team will be happy to help.

  Once your closed account is active again, you can change it’s email address to be anything else you wish, and that will immediately free-up the address for use with this account.
