Need expert help for downloads problem

Anything loaded (after May 12) for visitor download results in error message that there are too many re-directs. Never resolves.
I cleaned out all things uploaded in the Media library after May 12, deleted everything after May 12 in downloads library, removed all links to anything earlier than May 12. Then re-did everything.
The problem remains. I tried getting help from bluehost. Spent nearly an hour with support and nothing changed. Nothing put online to download will work. Same error message about too many re-directs.
I also deleted every plugin for the past 4 months. Did that first and it made no difference.I’m using hashone theme and haven’t had any problems until now.
Any suggestions?

It looks like you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site. This forum is strictly for WordPress.com hosted sites.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
