need general help please.

    i have a blog http://www.sneekygeekers.com we are trying to make things easier as we have more than one person posting articles. we want to ask
    we are using free themes atm.

    1. is there a way to shorten posts on the homepage atomically after the first paragraph.
    i know about the more tag. but one of the posters can’t use that from the android app as there is no option to edit txt mode.
    i guess this functionality may depend on the theme used.

    2. we would like to have a short excerpt, and preview image on the homepage for each post. (we had a theme that had this before but can’t remember what it was called).

    3. we also want a theme that is user-friendly on all devices wether smart, tab, laptop/desktop

    any ideas would be appreciated.
