need guidance, please

Hello,
I have my own business and am looking to create a website.
I purchased the Organic Response theme. I’m confused as to my next step to build my website. I know I need a host, so I purchased wordpress premium for $99. I thought this was a hosting site, but I’m not sure.
So, I have 2 questions:
1. What is wordpress premium used for?
2. How do I set up my organic response theme? where do I sign up for hosting?Thank you, Maggie

Hi there,
So it looks like there is a bit of confusion between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.
Check here to learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
So the theme you purchased would be for a WordPress.org site and you would need to purchase hosting separately. As for WordPress.com Premium that would be for a WordPress.com hosted site.
If you want to continue via WordPress.org, keep the theme and find a host. I can then give you a full refund for Premium and remove it from your account.
If you want to continue with WordPress.com, you can keep Premium, and you can choose a theme from here:
Please let me know how you would like to proceed!

Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly- the information you provided was incredibly valuable!
I’m trying to decide whether I’ll go with the .org or the .com platform. I paid $99 for the premium membership for the year and the .org is $29/month (I believe). I’m trying to distinguish the difference between the 2. Could you provide any insight? Thanks.

So the difference really between the two is that one is self-hosted, meaning that you are finding your own host, and installing the WordPress software. WordPress.com is where we would be your host. There are pros and cons to both which you can read about here:
If you have any specific questions please let me know!

Hi,
Again, thank you so much for your help. You you cancel the Premium wordpress account and re-imburse it back to the card it was purchased on?
Thank you so much,
