  Unfortunately, I believe ‘expressivehorse’ was linked to my school email which they moved to a different platform, so my email has been shut down.

  I did purchase a plan with wordpress through that blog. Would it be possible to cancel the plan?

  Since this was a paid upgrade, you can provide us with the transaction ID as a proof of ownership so we can restore access to the expressivehorse account.

  Follow these instructions to retrieve that transaction ID from your card statement:

  https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

  and then send it to us through this form:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  Please DO NOT POST any transaction details in this public forum. Use the form I linked above.

  When I type in the receipt ID it says the receipt is invalid, even though the payment cleared.

  Other ideas?

  You’re probably using an incorrect format. Try emailing the transaction ID directly to passwordhelp@wordpress.com. Our Account Recovery team will get back to you from there.
