Need help centering my WordPress.com site, TwentyFourteen theme

    Hello, folks.

    I have a question, how can I center my website for high resolution? The theme is TwentyFourteen and the site is a free WordPress.com blog. If there’s any way to center it, please let me know. Or if there’s a news type theme that has mobile options and is already programed for 1080 screens; please let me know.

    Thanks for the help and have a great day.

    The left sidebar of Twenty Fourteen is narrower than the left sidebar. Is that what you’re referring to?

    From the Quick Specs section at the bottom of the Twenty Fourteen theme support page:

    1. The main column width is 474 [pixels].
    2. Featured images work best with images that are least 1038 wide.
    3. The primary sidebar (left) width is 162.
    4. The secondary “content” sidebar (right) width is 306.

    Thank you for the info, but I mean that the site theme is set for 720bp instead of 1080bp for high resolution readers. The right side of the blog is off center when somene with 1080bp resolution views it.

    Understood. Sorry about that.

  • Hi James – you could center the layout in Twenty Fourteen with custom CSS.

    This should do it:

    .site {
      margin: 0 auto;
    }
