Need help changing background color of featured content area in Twenty Fourteen?

  The background color of the featured content area is showing as light grey on my blog. This doesn’t match my other colors. Based on other blogs running this theme, there seems to be a way to change the color of the featured content area to match my custom colors. I have the CSS upgrade and am using the Twenty-Fourteen theme.

  Go to Appearance => Custom Design = CSS and add:

  .featured-content, .featured-content .entry-header, .slider-direction-nav a {
      background-color: rgb(NEW COOR HERE); // your current color is set to rgb(239, 239, 239);
  }
